In the last days of 2024, people in Trang Luong commune, Hong Phong and Binh Khe wards (Dong Trieu city) were very excited when more than 1,000 officers and soldiers of the City Military Command, Brigade 405 (Military Region 3), Regiment 2 (Division 395) marched to the locality to do the second mass mobilization work of the year. Throughout the march, Officers and soldiers of military units have coordinated with local Party committees, authorities, mass organizations and people to renovate the landscape of the cultural house environment, repair and dredge intra-field canals, and clean up rural roads. Along with that, regularly coordinate to grasp the situation of land, sea and inland borders; direct units, especially units stationed in remote areas, ethnic minority areas, border areas, and islands to advise on improving the quality and effectiveness of mass mobilization work, maintaining stability of border lines and landmarks, encouraging people to stick to the land and sea, developing the economy in combination with protecting border sovereignty, building and consolidating the people's hearts and minds in solid defense areas.
In particular, agencies and units focus on building typical models of "Skilled mass mobilization", "Good mass mobilization unit" with many good and creative ways, such as the model "Spring in the borderlands - Island Tet with strong military-civilian affection"; "Lighting up the countryside roads", sponsoring children in difficult circumstances, losing their source of support... In 2024, the provincial military will coordinate to support the construction of 2 "Lighting up the countryside roads" projects worth 170 million VND; hand over 17 houses to policy beneficiaries, cadres, soldiers and people with housing difficulties; give 55 health insurance cards; provide free medicine to 556 policy beneficiaries; give 7 savings books worth 60 million VND in total; sponsor 7 children in Co To district with difficult circumstances until they are 18 years old with a support level of 1 million VND/month; Visiting and giving gifts to policy beneficiaries with a total amount of nearly 350 million VND and to officers and soldiers in difficult circumstances with a total amount of over 103 million VND...
