Bunkers "surround" the road, Hanoi traffic jams get worse

Báo Giao thôngBáo Giao thông08/11/2024

Dozens of fences (bunkers) constructed from drainage and power line projects... occupy the roadway on many streets, causing traffic jams and making it difficult for vehicles to move day after day.

The representative of the Hanoi Power Development Project Management Board said: This is an important national project, a key project in the energy sector to ensure power supply for Hanoi . The joint venture of Vietnam Energy and Infrastructure Development Investment Joint Stock Company - Thai Duong Electricity Construction Company Limited is implementing the construction of a 220kV underground cable trench along the Thang Long Boulevard feeder road from Km 8+705.10 to Km 2+912. Currently, the Board also requires the contractor to learn from experience and have a suitable construction plan, minimizing the impact on traffic in the construction area, promptly restoring the road surface, ensuring safety and environmental sanitation for the remaining sections, avoiding the recurrence of similar phenomena.
