This is the first time Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine has used a combination of English subjects (including A01 and B08) for admission but has not converted scores from IELTS or English certificates.
For majors using admission combinations with English subjects, the school only applies to candidates with high school graduation exam scores in English in 2025.
The school does not convert foreign language certificates used for exemption from high school graduation exams into English scores for inclusion in the admission combination.
Instead of applying 7 admission methods like previous years, in 2025, International University (Ho Chi Minh City National University) will only use 3 methods. Specifically:
Method 1 : Direct admission, priority admission.
This method includes direct admission, priority admission according to the Admission Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training ; priority admission for excellent and talented candidates of high schools; priority admission according to the regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University and admission for candidates who graduated from international high schools.

Method 3 : Admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam.
For candidates registering for an admission combination with English, if the candidate has an English certificate, the English subject score in the admission combination will be converted as follows:
Equivalent conversion rules for entrance thresholds and admission score conversion rules between groups and admission methods: The school implements equivalence rules according to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training and Ho Chi Minh City National University. The school will determine the equivalence conversion rules after announcing the high school exam scores.
In 2025, Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City will use 5 admission methods. Including:
Method 1: Direct admission and priority admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Method 2 : Comprehensive admission of Ho Chi Minh City Banking University based on high school academic results and achievements.
For candidates graduating in 2024, admission will be considered if their average score for semester 2, grade 11 and semester 1, semester 2, grade 12 is 6.5 or higher;
For candidates graduating in 2025, the study results of semester 2 of grade 11 and semester 1 and semester 2 of grade 12 must be good or higher.
Admission score is the converted score according to the subject combination of 3 semesters plus the converted score according to other criteria (if any) and the total converted priority score (if any). Priority score for subjects and regions is converted according to a 150-point scale.
Converted score according to subject combination of 3 semesters = Converted score (average score according to combination of semester 2, grade 11) + Converted score (average score according to combination of semester 1, grade 12) + Converted score (average score according to combination of semester 2, grade 12).
Conversion score according to other criteria = Conversion score of international English certificate + Conversion score of excellent student selection exam + Conversion score of specialized/gifted school.

The score is converted to a 10-point scale and receives a coefficient of 2 main subjects; the score of the remaining two subjects in the combination is the average score of the subject in 6 semesters in high school. This total score is converted to a 30-point scale and priority points for subjects and regions are added according to regulations.
