According to a source from Nacional CAT, Marcus Rashford has just made a clear request if Barcelona wants to sign a contract: he must be guaranteed an important role in coach Hansi Flick's plans.
The English star, who is no longer in MU's plans, is considered one of President Joan Laporta's top targets in this summer's transfer window.

After failing to sign Nico Williams, Laporta and the sporting director accelerated the process to recruit Rashford.
The 27-year-old has endured a disappointing season at Old Trafford. He lost form, lacked team discipline, fell out with Ruben Amorim and was loaned out to Aston Villa.
Aston Villa refused to activate the buy-back clause for Rashford. He currently has no new destination and is asking to return to training with MU to strengthen his fitness for the new season.
Barca are in a difficult financial period, having just been rejected by Nico Williams and also received a penalty from UEFA – with 15 million euros to be paid immediately, the remaining 45 million euros depending on the club's ability to adjust its budget.
In that context, Rashford is the most suitable choice for Barca when Hansi Flick requires another winger.
Rashford's transfer fee is estimated at around 50 million euros - much lower than the target Luis Diaz - who has just had an excellent season with Liverpool.
However, Rashford did not accept being a "supporting actor", even though he really wanted to play football with young star Lamine Yamal.
Rashford wants to play regularly to regain his form, thereby returning to the England team towards the 2026 World Cup under coach Thomas Tuchel.
