Opening of the Exhibition "Identifying Genuine and Fake Made in Japan Products"

In response to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day, on the morning of March 15, at 62 Trang Tien, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi , the General Department of Market Management (GDM) opened the Exhibition Hall with the theme "Identifying genuine and fake Made in Japan goods". This is the 11th time the GDM has opened the Exhibition Hall to help visitors learn about product information and distinguish genuine and fake goods on the market.

With the theme "Identifying genuine and fake Made in Japan products", the General Department of Market Management's showroom displays over 300 products from many brands from Japan such as: Panasonic, Casio, ASICS, Uniqlo, Lotte, Meiji, Transino, Honda, Yamaha..., typically: Panasonic electric kettle, calculator, Casio watch, sun protection shirt, Uniqlo socks, Lotte confectionery, Trasino cosmetics, Honda and Yamaha motorbike accessories, Elovi milk and drinks, ASICS's ONITSUKA TIGER MEXICO 66 sports shoes... These are popular brands in Japan as well as consumed a lot in the Vietnamese market. In addition, products using Japanese technology, manufactured in Vietnam such as Ajinomoto, Hao Hao... are also displayed and introduced, helping visitors learn about and identify the products. At the Exhibition Hall, experts from the General Department of Market Management, in coordination with representatives of businesses and rights holders, will directly introduce brands originating from Japan, presenting characteristics to help consumers compare and identify to distinguish genuine and fake goods. According to Mr. Tran Huu Linh, Director General of the General Department of Market Management, this is the first time the General Department has exhibited with a special topic on Japanese brands. Currently, the demand of Vietnamese people for Japanese brands is very high, along with that, there is also a situation of commercial fraud against these brands. Therefore, opening the Exhibition Hall will help people equip themselves with knowledge in shopping, avoiding risks in buying and selling goods. Not stopping at “Made in Japan” products, in the coming time, the General Department of Market Management will continue to expand the topics of identifying and distinguishing products for goods originating from many different countries to serve the safe and effective shopping needs of consumers. The exhibition “Identifying genuine and fake Made in Japan products” is open to visitors for free information from March 15 to March 19, 2024. Opening hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily./.
