On July 28, Russian President Vladimir Putin and African leaders adopted the final statement of the Second Russia-Africa Summit and the two sides' joint action plan until 2026.

The statement welcomed Russia's determination to continue helping African countries secure food, fertilizer and energy sources; as well as in implementing projects promoting international development.
Within the framework of cooperation, the parties agreed on 74 points of obligation, including a mechanism for “dialogue partners” in politics , economics and science. In addition, the two sides also agreed to switch to using national currencies in trade transactions.
The Kremlin website also announced the results of the Second Russia-Africa Summit, including the two sides' agreement to prevent an arms race in space, cooperate in ensuring international information security, and strengthen cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
At the end of the summit, African Union (AU) Chairman Azali Assoumani said that President Putin had made it clear to African leaders that he was ready for dialogue on the Ukraine issue.
According to Mr. Assoumani, the AU is ready to act as a mediator in the Russia-Ukraine conflict and will seek to convince Kiev. Previously, African countries had proposed an initiative to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
The Joint Declaration of the Conference also determined that the two sides will hold a summit every three years and hold an annual international parliamentary conference.
