Although they have not completed the sale of Rashford, they have avoided the scenario of "stuck goods" and falling into a weak position in negotiations like their neighbors. Moreover, pushing Rashford away early also helps stabilize the squad, paving the way for new deals - something Man City has not been able to do with Grealish.
It can be said that Man United's £26 million gamble has not yet been decided, but they have made it at the right time. If Barcelona are convinced by Rashford's performance next season, this deal will bring both financial and strategic benefits to the Old Trafford team.
