On August 24, Hung Yen Provincial Police informed about the prosecution of the case, the accused and the temporary detention of Tran Cong Minh (born in 1999, from Ha Hoa district, Phu Tho province) for the crime of "Torturing others". Notably, the victim in this case is a 3-year-old child.
Previously, Phung Chi Kien Ward Police (in My Hao Town, Hung Yen) received a report from the people that Tran Cong Minh had beaten Vu Quang H. (born in 2021), who lived with Minh. Between July 17 and August 18, Minh repeatedly tortured and beat H., causing her to lose consciousness and require emergency hospitalization at Pho Noi General Hospital. There, H. was diagnosed with a right temporal hematoma, bladder injury, and soft tissue injuries in many areas of her body. In response to Minh's cruel actions, the police initiated a criminal case, prosecuted the defendant, and issued an order to temporarily detain Tran Cong Minh for the crime of "Torturing others".
