DNO- The People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province and Vietnam Railway Corporation have just surveyed and worked on preparations to put the Hue-Da Nang tourist train into operation.
Vietnam Railways Corporation said that the unit is currently focusing on renovating the interior, investing in equipment on train cars; arranging a part of the train waiting room area at Hue station, Da Nang station and coordinating with transport companies to invest and upgrade into high-quality train waiting rooms to diversify and renew passenger transport products and services; suitable for investing in upgrading high-quality trains; meeting the needs of tourists , international visitors and other customers.
According to the plan of Vietnam Railway Corporation, two tourist passenger trains will run daily between Hue station and Da Nang station and vice versa, in the form of transport business combined with tourism service exploitation.
These trains are directly managed and operated by Hanoi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company to exploit transport business, and at the same time combine with local tourism and travel businesses to exploit tourism services.
The train has 7 carriages, including 1 electricity generating official carriage, 5 56-seat AL carriages and 1 B carriage for service activities. The expected ticket price is 150,000 VND/ticket. The train applies a monthly ticket price of 900,000 VND/ticket and discounts for policy beneficiaries. The train is expected to launch on March 26 both ways from Hue to Da Nang and vice versa.
