The total number of plates put up for auction as of September 4 was 1,268,852; of which 35,563 were successful. The total value of the auctioned assets was over VND3,281 billion, with the winning bidder paying VND3,026 billion.
On the afternoon of September 4, a representative of the Traffic Police Department said that the Ministry of Public Security has just approved the plan to auction car license plates. The fifth auction with 388,389 license plates will be auctioned. The license plates will be posted for 1 month, starting tomorrow (September 5) for people to choose.
The list of license plates includes all 63 provinces and cities; of which, there are more than 56,000 Hanoi license plates and nearly 54,000 Ho Chi Minh City license plates.
The starting price of each license plate is still 40 million VND, with a step price of 5 million VND. For each successfully auctioned car license plate, the auction service fee paid to the property auction organization is calculated at 8% of the starting price.
In addition to the auction service fee, the auction fee paid to the property auction organization is 10,000 VND/car license plate put up for auction.
According to regulations, during the auction process, the units assigned to inspect, monitor information security, ensure network security, and prevent intrusion during the auction process are the Department of Cyber Security and Prevention of High-Tech Crime, the Department of Telecommunications and Cryptography, the Department of Information Technology, and the Department of Technical Services - Ministry of Public Security.
Also according to the representative of the Traffic Police Department, as of September 4, 207 days of auction have passed.
