Ha Tinh Fellow Countrymen Association in Binh Thuan meets on the occasion of early spring
In the early days of its establishment, the association was mainly concentrated in Phan Thiet town (now Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province) with more than 100 households. After 30 years of operation, there are now 8 branches with 988 member households throughout Binh Thuan province. Among them, many branches have a large number of members, such as: Ham Thuan Bac (more than 150 households); Phan Thiet city (192 households); Ham Thuan Nam (335 households); La Gi town (121 households)...
Over the past 30 years, the association has maintained activities to support families in difficult circumstances, help people in distress, and visit the sick. The Association's Standing Committee and branches have mobilized people to contribute capital to lend at low interest rates to help each other in production and livestock raising for 31 households with over 120 million VND.
The association also encouraged fellow countrymen to contribute capital and from other sources, it has resolved to support 17 difficult cases with a total amount of 123 million VND. It visited and supported 15 cases with a total amount of more than 50 million VND for people from the countryside who came to visit relatives but unfortunately had an accident or died... It visited more than 1,500 members who were sick and treated in the hospital with a total amount of 226 million VND; and offered condolences to 230 cases with a total amount of 210 million VND.

Every year, at the beginning of the new year, the branches organize awards for excellent students. Up to now, more than 2,300 students have been awarded with a total amount of over 200 million VND... This is a very meaningful work, recognized by local authorities at all levels in Binh Thuan province.
For their hometown Ha Tinh, people in Binh Thuan, through the Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Tinh province, contributed 108 million VND to support their fellow countrymen affected by natural disasters and floods.
In the coming time, the Executive Committee of the Ha Tinh Association in Binh Thuan will continue to promote membership development, especially in Duc Linh, Bac Binh and Tuy Phong districts that currently do not have any affiliated branches. At the same time, it will effectively and efficiently carry out the tasks set out in the association's charter; establish the association's Education Promotion Fund.
