According to local officials, no casualties were reported in the flare incident. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his family were not at home at the time of the incident.

However, police are opening a related investigation. Authorities call this a "sign of serious escalation of tension".

Israeli politicians were quick to condemn the attack, with opposition leader Yair Lapid and National Unity chairman Benny Gantz calling on law enforcement to swiftly "bring the perpetrators to justice."

Former Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman warned that the incident "represents an escalation in efforts to damage the democratic institutions of the State of Israel".

President Isaac Herzog also issued a strong condemnation, saying he had spoken to the head of the Internal Security Agency (Shin Bet) Ronen Bar and stressed " the urgent need to investigate and deal with those involved as soon as possible".

Far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir condemned "the acts of incitement against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that crossed all limits" , with the November 16 incident crossing another "red line".

Agreeing with this opinion, Israeli Housing Minister Yitzchak Goldknopf stated that the incident "is a direct consequence of the frenzied incitement against the Israeli government and its leader, which has spread throughout the country in recent months".
