Russia and Belarus are planning to sign a treaty on mutual security. On the ground, Belarus has increased its military presence in the border area with Ukraine with military equipment marked "B'.

Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov announced on September 2 that Minsk and Moscow will sign a security guarantee treaty next December.

Belta news agency quoted Foreign Minister Ryzhenkov as saying that in December, when Belarus and Russia celebrate the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Union State Treaty, the two sides will sign an interstate treaty on security assurance for the two countries.

The content of the treaty will emphasize “establishing the principles of the use of nuclear and conventional weapons, as well as other methods of defense for both states that are members of the Union State”.

Foreign Minister Ryzhenkov also highly appreciated the effectiveness of the contacts between the heads of state and government of the two countries.

Recently, Russian Telegram channels shared images showing a train carrying tanks, with the letter "B" painted in white on the tank turret. Similar markings also appeared on the armored infantry vehicles loaded onto the train.

According to the Kyiv Post, newly released images appear to show Belarus has transferred military equipment to the Ukrainian border.

Earlier, Belarusian officials confirmed that the country had increased its military presence in the border area with Ukraine. Belarus said this was a move in response to Ukraine deploying about 120,000 soldiers to the common border.

Notably, for the first time, Belarusian military vehicles deployed here, including tanks, all have the letter "B".

The online community has come up with various theories regarding this mysterious letter B. Some say that "B" is simply an abbreviation for the country name of Belarus.

Meanwhile, some other opinions say that this is a sign that Belarus is supporting Russia to open a "second front" in the conflict with Ukraine.
