(Dan Tri) - In the first half of 2025, Loc Phat Bank (LPBank) recorded positive business results with pre-tax profit reaching 6,164 billion VND.

Besides, operational efficiency indicators continued to be bright spots with return on equity (ROE) reaching 23.67% and return on total assets (ROA) reaching 1.95%.

Vietnam's economy in the first 6 months of 2025 is on track for a strong recovery with GDP growth of 7.52% - the highest level since 2011. The banking industry, as the lifeblood of the economy , also recorded a total industry credit growth of about 9.9% compared to the beginning of the year, the highest increase in many years.

Keeping pace with the general growth trend, LPBank 's business activities recorded many positive signals. In the first 6 months of 2025, the bank achieved pre-tax profit of VND 6,164 billion, completing 41.5% of the yearly plan. Total operating income reached VND 9,601 billion, of which non-interest income accounted for 27%, up 17.3% over the same period last year.

This income structure shows LPBank's efforts in diversifying revenue sources, reducing dependence on traditional credit activities and in line with the orientation of sustainable development. According to many financial experts, in the context of stable interest rates, banks with a high proportion of non-interest income will have a clear competitive advantage, especially in stabilizing profits and controlling credit risks.

LPBank's pre-tax profit in the first 6 months of 2025 reached nearly 6,200 billion VND.

In terms of scale, LPBank's outstanding credit balance reached VND368,727 billion, up 11.2% compared to the beginning of the year. This increase is significantly higher than the overall growth rate of the entire industry, showing LPBank's efforts in expanding capital supply to the market, especially in the retail sector. The bank's total assets also increased by 16% over the same period, reaching VND513,613 billion.

LPBank maintains effective operations and tight risk control

Operational efficiency and risk management capacity continue to be bright spots in LPBank's financial picture. According to the bank's semi-annual financial report, the cost-to-income ratio (CIR) was maintained at 28.92%. This result shows that LPBank is controlling operating costs well, allowing the bank to confidently reinvest in technology and strategic projects without putting pressure on profits.

LPBank's ROE reached 23.67% and ROA reached 1.95%. These figures demonstrate the bank's ability to optimize resources and effectively control risks, while also reflecting its sustainable growth strategy, focusing on asset quality and operational efficiency. LPBank's bad debt ratio was also controlled at 1.74%, fully meeting the requirements of the State Bank.

Some bright spots in LPBank's 2025 semi-annual business results.

In the second quarter, LPBank paid 2024 cash dividends at a rate of 25% according to the plan approved by the 2025 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders. The total amount of dividends paid in this period was up to VND 7,468 billion.

Throughout the first 6 months of the year, LPBank has continuously improved its services and launched breakthrough products such as LPBank Priority, Sinh Loi Loc Phat 2.0, LPBank Visa Signature premium credit card, LPBank Private Lounge service... for individual customers and Universal Account Combo (package), Super Fast Loan, Import-Export Finance... for corporate customers. These steps not only help expand market share but also elevate the LPBank brand in the minds of customers.

On June 23, S&P Global ranked LPBank as the most efficient bank in Vietnam and the Top 3 most efficient banks in Southeast Asia based on business results in 2024. Domestically, the bank is also in the Top 10 Prestigious Private Commercial Joint Stock Banks in 2025 announced by Vietnam Report. LPBank was also honored at many ESG awards such as Asia Responsible Enterprise 2025, Top 10 Green ESG Banks in Vietnam 2025... clearly reflecting the bank's strong efforts in accompanying the sustainable development goals of the community and society.
