According to Gaming Bolt , Phil Spencer has once again reiterated that future Call of Duty games will have similar content across all other platforms. The world's most popular shooter franchise is now under the Microsoft umbrella following its recent acquisition with Activision Blizzard.

In a recent official Xbox podcast, Spencer stated that Microsoft has no plans to entice gamers to buy Xbox consoles with Call of Duty , something Microsoft has repeatedly stressed in the past. According to the Xbox chief, the Xbox release of Call of Duty will not have any exclusive maps, costumes, or content.

Call of Duty on Xbox won't have exclusive content

Specifically, Spencer said: "For those who play Call of Duty on PlayStation and Nintendo in the future, I want you to feel like you're still getting 100% of the content that the whole community is getting. I don't want people to feel like they're missing out, in terms of skins or content, that's not the goal of the company."

And because Microsoft has also signed "legally binding" agreements, the company will bring all Call of Duty titles to PlayStation and Nintendo consoles with full content and features for the next 10 years.

Meanwhile, in the same podcast episode, Spencer also stated that while the merger between the two companies is complete, Activision Blizzard games won't appear on Game Pass until 2024.

While Activision Blizzard is now firmly in Microsoft's shadow, the company's CEO Bobby Kotick will remain in his current position until the end of 2023 to aid in the transition.
