LPBank Securities Joint Stock Company (LPBS) has just announced that it has received the resignation letter of Mr. Le Minh Tam - Chairman of the Board of Directors .
In his resignation letter, Mr. Tam said that at the 2024 annual general meeting of shareholders held in April 2024, he was elected as a member of the board of directors for the 2023-2028 term and was trusted as chairman of LPBank Securities.
However, up to now, "for some personal reasons", he wants the shareholders' meeting and the board of directors to approve his resignation from September 20.
Mr. Tam was elected as chairman of LPBank Securities since December last year. Thus, Mr. Tam has been in the "hot seat" of this securities company for less than a year.
Recently, LPBank Securities also announced the resolution to convene the first extraordinary general meeting of shareholders in 2024. The meeting is expected to take place on October 31 in Ho Chi Minh City, which includes the content of dismissing members of the board of directors for the 2023-2028 term.
Mr. Le Minh Tam was born in 1971. Mr. Tam is currently the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Loc Phat Vietnam Commercial Joint Stock Bank - LPBank.
This person is also an individual investor who bought 28 million shares, accounting for 2.65% of the capital of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Joint Stock Company. In April this year, Hoang Anh Gia Lai successfully offered 130 million individual shares, earning 1,300 billion VND.
Notably, before Mr. Tam submitted his resignation, LPBank Securities also recorded some changes in senior personnel.
In particular, Mr. Nguyen Duy Du - a member of the board of directors - also resigned for personal reasons, from August 15, 2024.
Recently, Mr. Hoang Cong Nguyen Vu was appointed as Deputy General Director in charge of support and operations from September 18.
At this year's annual shareholders' meeting, LPBank Securities successfully increased its charter capital from VND 250 billion to VND 3,888 billion.
