Michael (58 years old, a train driver) said that he works shifts so he cannot live without coffee. However, one day, while sipping his favorite drink, he noticed a sharp pain in his throat, according to the Express newspaper.

Mr. Michael went to the doctor and was told he had nasopharyngeal cancer. He underwent 3 months of intensive treatment at Leeds Hospital (UK).
Mr. Michael underwent 35 radiation treatments and 3 chemotherapy treatments, and was hospitalized twice. After 7 months of treatment, he was cancer-free.
Speaking to Leeds Hospitals charity, Michael said: "When I was diagnosed, I started treatment straight away. Looking back, I feel very lucky," according to the Express .
Mr. Michael warns that it is important that if you notice anything unusual in your body, you go see a doctor immediately.
