According to the Guardian, on May 1, Australian airline Qantas Airways announced that it was investigating an incident on its frequent flyer app, after reports emerged that some customers were able to view detailed information about other passengers' schedules and boarding passes on their mobile devices. The incident occurred after customers updated the Qantas app.

In a statement, Qantas said it was working urgently to resolve the issue with the Qantas app and offered its sincere apologies to customers affected. The Australian national airline said it was investigating whether the issue was caused by recent system changes.

Qantas advises customers to be vigilant against social media scams at this time and promises to provide further information as soon as possible.
