Farmers in Hoang Dieu commune (Gia Loc) harvest cabbage in the cold weather on the morning of January 27.

The selling price of cabbage is about 2,500-3,500 VND/kg, reaching about 5-7 million VND/sao depending on quality, an increase of about 2-3 million VND/sao compared to the time before the cold.

The price of kohlrabi is from 2,500-3,000 VND/root, reaching about 5.5-7 million/sao, an increase of about 2.5-3.5 million VND/sao. The price of tomatoes, cucumbers and some other vegetables also increased.

Before the cold season, although prices are cheap, some vegetables are difficult to sell because of abundant supply. Some places focus on harvesting winter vegetables in order to prepare the land and ensure the season.

According to the Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection of Hai Duong , the whole province still has nearly 6,000 hectares of winter vegetables that have not been harvested, mainly onions, garlic, carrots, cabbage, kohlrabi, cauliflower...

The early spring tea planting schedule is expected to be from February 1-10, however, people do not plant when the average day and night temperature drops below 15 degrees Celsius.
