Denver Nuggets star Aaron Gordon will be out for the long term after being bitten by a dog on Christmas Day (December 24). He was hospitalized with serious injuries to his face and dominant hand.
Doctors had to use 21 stitches to close the NBA star's wounds. As of yesterday (December 27), Reuters revealed that Aaron Gordon is in good health.

Averaging 13.6 points and 6.9 rebounds per game, Aaron Gordon has been a key member of the Denver Nuggets for many seasons now. In the recent Christmas series, Gordon shined to help the reigning NBA champions defeat the Golden State Warriors.
Shortly after this match, Denver's scorer was injured. The club said that they are not in a hurry to urge Aaron Gordon to return, but will let the 28-year-old striker rest until he feels completely healthy, both physically and mentally.
"We're not going to put any pressure on him. The Denver Nuggets just need a completely healthy Aaron Gordon. Not everyone can recover quickly from shocks like this. We hope he can get back on his feet soon, " coach Michael Malone told reporters.
Meanwhile, Gordon's teammate Kentavious Caldwell-Pope said: "On behalf of the entire team, I send my condolences to him. I know Aaron Gordon is really devastated after the incident. I will try to contact him to support him during this difficult time."
Gordon has previously shown off his Rottweiler to fans many times. This is a breed of dog originating from Germany, used to herd livestock. However, if not raised properly, they can become aggressive.
