(NLDO) – To study in Germany, students only need a B1 certificate. However, to enter the labor market in this country, a minimum of a B2 certificate or higher is required.

On the afternoon of January 9, nearly 100 delegates, including leaders of universities, colleges, high schools, students, etc. interested in the nursing industry, participated in the discussion "Comprehensive Cooperation - For a Common Future", held at Bach Viet Polytechnic College (Go Vap District). The event opened up new breakthroughs in human resource cooperation in the nursing industry, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany (1975-2025).

The two countries share information, experience and seek cooperation opportunities.

Sharing at the discussion, Nguyen Thi Thanh Thao, a first-year nursing student, said she is learning about studying in Germany and wants to work in this country. However, Thao does not know how to make a suitable study plan. Thao is looking for short-term study programs (about 3 months) to get acquainted with the people and culture of Germany.

Another male student is wondering how to enter the German labor market immediately and save the most time after graduating from nursing school in Vietnam.

Answering students' questions, Mr. Holger Korte, Chairman of Vidacta Group, said that Germany is currently facing an aging population and therefore has a high demand for quality labor from abroad to maintain and develop the country. Especially for the nursing industry.

One of the great advantages of working in Germany is that students and workers are exempted from 100% of tuition fees when participating in vocational training programs. During the course of study, students receive a salary of 955 - 1,600 EUR/month depending on the profession. After graduation, income can reach 2,600 - 4,000 EUR/month.

Although the demand for human resources is high, not everyone who studies nursing can work in Germany. The biggest barrier is language. Normally, it takes students 8-12 months to complete the A1 to B1 route.

"To study abroad, students need to have a B1 German certificate. If they want to enter the labor market, students must have at least a B2 certificate and must pass a skills test to become an official nurse in Germany," Mr. Holger Korte emphasized.

In terms of training, MSc. Nguyen Minh Luan, Head of the Faculty of Pharmacy - Nursing, Bach Viet Polytechnic College, said that the school focuses on building relationships and signing cooperation agreements with prestigious hospitals such as Nguyen Trai Hospital, Trung Vuong Hospital, etc.

"Having lecturers who are head nurses at hospitals has created favorable conditions for theoretical and practical training. The internship process at the hospital is also observed and carefully guided by lecturers. Thanks to that, when graduating from training in Vietnam, students are completely confident in participating in the foreign market" - Master Luan acknowledged.
