NDO - On January 8, 468 outstanding students from 39 schools representing more than 48,000 high school students in the entire Bac Ninh province attended the 7th National Defense and Security Education Sports Festival for high school students in Bac Ninh province in 2024, organized by the Department of Education and Training of Bac Ninh province in coordination with the Provincial Military Command and the Provincial Police.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh Province, Dao Quang Khai, Chairman of the Provincial Council for National Defense and Security Education , affirmed that Bac Ninh always attaches importance to the work of National Defense and Security Education in schools, thereby providing students with basic knowledge of national defense and security, helping them form the right attitude and behavior towards the Fatherland and the community. At the same time, they better understand their responsibilities towards the Fatherland, contributing to building a strong generation of successors with the courage and ability to cope with challenges in the environment of globalization and international integration.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the athletes who were the students with the best results in the National Defense and Security Education course enthusiastically participated in 9 competitions. In addition to the theoretical exam on general awareness of national defense and security, there was a practical exam including the following contents: team command; individual command; first aid bandaging; throwing grenades at long range and hitting the target; disassembling and assembling AK submachine guns during the day; shooting AK submachine guns, lesson 1; movement postures on the battlefield; 800m armed run with AK submachine guns.
As planned, on the afternoon of January 9, the Organizing Committee will hold a closing ceremony and award prizes to athletes and schools with high achievements.
