The book "Imprints of the August Revolution of 1945" has just been published by the National Political Publishing House Truth.

The book does not simply record events, but brings history to life through the memories, reminiscences, and writings of witnesses: from General Vo Nguyen Giap, comrade Truong Chinh, historians Tran Huy Lieu, Xuan Thuy, to journalists and artists such as Hong Ha, To Hoai, Hong Linh, Nhu Phong, Nguyet Tu...

Stories such as receiving the golden sword from King Bao Dai, breaking out of Ba To prison, capturing Hue citadel, uprising in the North, the days of Hanoi's fiery struggle, or the image of a Vietnamese girl tying up the Japanese invaders alive..., are all told in a simple, emotional but evocative tone, showing the strength of a united nation rising up to seize power.

Not stopping at recreating history, the book also analyzes the causes leading to victory, draws lessons from the Party's talented leadership, the art of organizing the masses, and the smooth combination of political and military struggles.

In particular, the last part of the book also records the vibrant atmosphere of the August Revolution celebrations in many localities in the following years such as Hanoi, Gia Lam, the South... showing that the mark of this great revolution not only lives in history books, but has also blended into daily life, into the hearts of millions of Vietnamese people.

For the young generation, who were born in peace and grew up in the age of technology and modern life, the book Imprints of the August Revolution in 1945 is like a "door" opening to a fiery past, where freedom was not something obvious but was the crystallization of blood, tears and indomitable will of the entire nation.

History will never be dry if we know how to listen with our hearts. And the authentic documents and intact emotions in the book will become the bridge connecting today with yesterday, so that each person can touch history not only with intelligence, but also with all the emotions, pride and gratitude.

Not only is it a sacred tribute to previous generations, the book also lights a silent yet enduring flame, reminding us that history is a priceless spiritual heritage, a vivid lesson, and the foundation for today's generation to create a future worthy of the sacrifices of our ancestors.
