Training and coaching tour guides at Co To district

In order to improve the quality of tourism services and human resources for tourism , on May 22, the People's Committee of Co To district coordinated with the Department of Tourism of Quang Ninh to organize a training course for tour guides at Co To district in 2023.

The class was attended by 36 students from tourism service businesses in the district, tour guides working at tourist areas and destinations in Co To district and citizens in need. The training course took place from May 22 to May 26.

The class attracted a large number of students.

During the training course, students were taught a number of topics related to tour guide work such as: communication skills, on-site explanation methods, presentation skills, general knowledge about the homeland - culture - people of Co To. The classes were taught by experienced lecturers from specialized departments of the Department of Tourism.

According to the program, the training course consists of 2 parts: fostering professional knowledge of tour guides and testing and evaluating the skills of each trainee. At the end of the training course, trainees will undergo an examination, and those who meet the requirements will be granted a Certificate of professional tour guide at the site.

In the context of Co To tourism developing strongly, many new tourism products are developed and registered with the province, the demand for tourism and enjoying the experience of new tourism products is increasing, this is a practical and necessary activity to improve the quality of tourism human resources, promote the value of the destination, and build Co To as a "safe, friendly and attractive" destination.
