Việt NamViệt Nam09/04/2024

The Thai government has issued a warning of extreme heat in the coming days. People have also been advised to avoid being outdoors due to the risk of heatstroke.

The Thai Meteorological Department said that from now until April 11, high air pressure from China will spread to northern Thailand and the East Sea, while east and southeast winds will carry moisture from the sea deep inland, making the weather very hot.

The north will be the hottest region in the country, with maximum temperatures forecast at 43 degrees Celsius, while the capital Bangkok will see a maximum temperature of 39 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, according to the Thai Government, some areas in the country have seen temperatures reach 44.5 degrees Celsius, while warnings of extreme heat have been issued in 21 provinces and cities and people are advised not to stay outdoors for long periods of time to avoid heatstroke.
