On November 24, the City Youth Union - Vietnam Youth Union of Hanoi organized the Youth Festival with traffic culture and the series of activities "Youth of the Capital participate in propaganda and maintaining traffic order and safety" in 2024.
The program is organized to promote propaganda and education among youth union members about traffic safety; improve knowledge and awareness of compliance with the Road Traffic Law, contributing to reducing traffic violations and accidents;
At the same time, equipping youth union members with knowledge of safe and effective driving and skills to deal with unexpected incidents while participating in traffic; at the same time, creating a healthy, useful and practical playground for youth union members. Thereby, helping youth union members to be more aware of their position, role and responsibility when participating in traffic.
Speaking at the program, Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union Chu Hong Minh said that, clearly identifying the role, position and importance of the Youth Union in the propaganda work to raise awareness of young people when participating in traffic, the youth of the capital has worked with all levels, sectors and the whole society to organize and implement many rich and diverse activities; gradually raising awareness and sense of compliance with traffic safety laws among young people and all classes of people.
Along with that, the City Youth Union - Vietnam Youth Union of Hanoi continues to implement contents and activities to propagate, disseminate and educate laws on traffic order and safety; 100% of Youth Union bases include the content of disseminating traffic laws in regular monthly and quarterly activities; 100% of affiliated Youth Union bases build traffic culture criteria for youth; 100% of districts, towns, and schools implement the model of "Traffic Safety School Gate", "Green Traffic" team...
Within the framework of the program, the City Youth Union - Vietnam Youth Union of Hanoi City awarded 15 city-level Green Traffic teams and presented support materials in implementing and performing tasks in the coming time.
Also at the program, the Hanoi Youth Union organized the Volunteer Festival and awarded the "Capital Volunteer" Award in 2024. From 21 outstanding individual profiles in volunteer activities, the Youth Union decided to select and honor 10 groups and 10 individuals as exemplary and typical examples.
In addition, the City Youth Union awarded Certificates of Merit to 9 groups and 43 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the Voluntary Blood Donation Journey in 2024. Up to now, the City Youth Union and Association at all levels have organized 180 mobile blood donation sessions in localities across the city, collecting 84,494 units of blood, of which over 70% were mobilized from young people.
