A 2-0 victory over Getafe in the make-up match of round 20 of La Liga helped Real Madrid return to the top of the table, far ahead of rival Barcelona.

Despite playing away at Coliseum, Real Madrid did not have much difficulty dominating the game and quickly scored the opening goal. In the 14th minute, Joselu's classy header put Ancelotti's team ahead 1-0.
Real Madrid were in a good mood after taking the lead. The Spanish Royal team took the initiative to keep the ball but did not need to increase the speed. The first half ended with a score of 1-0 in favor of Real Madrid.
In the second half, Real Madrid continued to show their effectiveness in attacking play. In the 56th minute, Juselu completed his double with a decisive finish after an accurate pass from Vinicius.
In the remaining minutes, Getafe fought back strongly to find a goal. However, Real Madrid played with concentration and did not allow the home team to get an honorary goal.
Winning 2-0 away against Getafe, Real Madrid officially regained the top spot from Girona.
Coach Ancelotti's team has 57 points after 22 rounds, 2 points more than Girona and 10 points ahead of Barcelona.
