In recent years, under the strong leadership of the Party Committee, the government and the consensus of the people, Thieu Hoa has made a strong transformation. The economy has developed in many fields and grown quite well. In 2025, the total production value of the district is estimated to reach more than 16,900 billion VND, 1.6 times higher than in 2020; the economic structure has shifted strongly towards industry, construction and services accounting for nearly 84%; the average income per capita reached over 71 million VND.
Agriculture is developing in the direction of clean, high-tech agriculture associated with production linkages. The district has converted nearly 300 hectares of ineffective rice fields, accumulating nearly 1,000 hectares of large-scale production; over 3,500 hectares are linked to production with enterprises. Many high-tech agricultural models and safe vegetables have been formed, attracting many enterprises to invest in the field of agricultural processing.
Thieu Hoa was recognized as a new rural district in 2022 and an advanced new rural district in 2024, with many model and smart villages. The One Commune One Product (OCOP) program achieved positive results with 31 products achieving OCOP, including 26 3-star OCOP products and 5 4-star OCOP products.

To create a breakthrough in economic growth, Thieu Hoa district has implemented many solutions to promote the development of industry, handicrafts and services, creating new jobs for thousands of workers. In particular, the ALIVIA leather shoe export factory of Huali Group with a scale of 12,000 workers has been put into operation since September 2024, reaching the export milestone of 1 million USD. The WHA Smart Technology 2 industrial park infrastructure project, a strategic project with a scale of nearly 175 hectares of WHA Group (Thailand), has been approved by the Provincial People's Committee for investment with an investment capital of 1,450 billion VND, expected to start construction in October 2025.

An important highlight, which will comprehensively change the face of the district in the period of 2020-2025, is investment promotion, mobilizing resources to invest in technical infrastructure in a synchronous direction, linked to the infrastructure network in regional connections to attract investment and develop the economy and society.
In 5 years, the district has mobilized more than 9,117 billion VND to invest in infrastructure construction. A number of important infrastructure projects, especially traffic infrastructure, have been invested and upgraded in a modern direction such as: the route connecting National Highway 1 with National Highway 45 and the North-South Expressway, Nga Ba Che bypass, Le Van Huu Avenue... contributing to creating great advantages for trade connection and expanding the space for urban economic development, while promoting regional connectivity, creating momentum for socio-economic development of Thieu Hoa district in particular and Thanh Hoa province in general.
Not only has the district made a strong breakthrough in economic development, but the cultural and social fields have also been of interest to the district. The unique cultural traditions, the source of historical and revolutionary values have been preserved and promoted by Thieu Hoa. Education and training have always been of interest, with 100% of schools meeting national standards, 32 schools meeting level 2 standards, helping Thieu Hoa maintain its position in the leading group of the province in terms of education quality.
Thieu Hoa is also a bright spot in social security work. With the goal of "leaving no one behind", the locality has achieved impressive results in poverty reduction, with the poverty rate by 2025 reduced to 0.22%, one of the two districts with the lowest rate in the province.
Fully aware of the importance of building a clean and strong Party organization, which is decisive for the successful implementation of the goal of building a district with rapid and sustainable development, in recent years, the Party Committee of Thieu Hoa district has always paid attention to leading and directing the work of Party building, improving leadership capacity and fighting strength; promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. In the past 5 years, more than 1,440 typical collectives and individuals have been commended.
The 5-year journey has come to an end, the Party Committee and the government of Thieu Hoa district have also completed their historical mission in the journey of development with their homeland and country. However, the heroic tradition, the spirit of self-reliance, the desire for innovation and advancement, the values that have been nurtured for generations to create the appearance of a beautiful and rich Thieu Hoa will never fade in the minds of the cadres and every citizen of Thieu Hoa.
The road ahead is full of challenges. However, the achievements that have been made will be a solid foundation, a strong motivation for each Thieu Hoa resident to continue writing a new page of history, a page that, although no longer begins with the name “Thieu Hoa district”, is still full of pride with the two words “homeland”.
