British auction house Mullock Jones said a man named Richard Brock (67 years old) discovered a 64.8 gram gold nugget in Shropshire Hills (England), near the border with Wales.

Brock had previously travelled more than three hours and 30 minutes from his home in Somerset to join an organised expedition across farmland in the Shropshire Hills.
When he arrived, Mr. Brock had difficulty using his treasure-detecting kit, so he switched to an old machine with a fuzzy screen.
Brock thought he would be a "total failure" with the machine, but unexpectedly it brought unexpected results that changed his life. After 20 minutes of searching the ground, he found a gold nugget about 14.2 cm deep in the ground.
After 35 years of being a treasure hunter, Mr. Brock said emotionally: "I started my exploration journey in 1989. I decided to join this trip because my previous trip in Australia was cancelled. I drove myself so I arrived 1 hour later than expected."
Unexpectedly, all the "mistakes" led Mr. Brock to a gold nugget the size of a British 50 pence coin.
Mullock Jones is the agency handling the auction of the nugget that Mr. Brock found. The nugget is estimated to be worth $38,000-$50,700. The auction will end on April 1.
