The Ho Chi Minh City Education Trade Union has just reported on the results of its work to care for union members, teachers and workers during the 2025 Lunar New Year.
According to the report, an FDI (foreign investment capital) unit with 216 employees has just announced a Tet bonus of 2.5 billion VND. Of which, the highest bonus is over 100 million VND/person, the lowest is over 4.3 million VND/person. The average bonus is over 22 million VND/person.
The Ho Chi Minh City Education Trade Union also said that all schools in Ho Chi Minh City have a plan to pay January 2025 salaries on schedule (before Tet holiday), with no unpaid or delayed salaries.
In the public sector, teachers do not receive Tet bonuses but only receive additional income according to Decree 43/2006.
For non-state units, 89 out of 104 units gave Tet bonuses with a total budget of more than 32 billion VND. Of which, the highest bonus was more than 28 million VND/person, the lowest bonus was 300,000 VND/person, the average bonus was 5.3 million VND/person.
The Ho Chi Minh City Education Trade Union has carried out many activities to take care of teachers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025. Among them, the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Doan Ket" stands out, taking care of Tet for cadres, teachers and workers in difficult circumstances who cannot return home to celebrate Tet.
In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Education Trade Union also prepared more than 1,200 gifts and more than 360 train and bus tickets in the program "Tickets of Love".
