In January, the activities of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council closely followed the key tasks of the Provincial Party Committee and the resolutions of the Provincial People's Council to lead and direct the activities of the People's Council Committees, the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council to successfully complete the assigned tasks. Visiting and wishing a Happy New Year to policy families, some units and former provincial leaders as assigned by the province; the work of receiving citizens, receiving and handling complaints, denunciations, recommendations and reflections of citizens was carried out with attention.

The meeting basically agreed on the draft content, time, and thematic supervision objects of the People's Council, the Standing Committee of the People's Council, and the People's Council Committees in 2024. At the same time, it agreed to adjust the supervision time and the supervision objects for some supervision contents to avoid overlapping in time and supervision objects between the Committees of the Provincial People's Council. Specifically, for the content "Implementation of legal provisions on vocational training and job creation for workers in the province from 2022 to 2024" of the Committee for Culture and Society, the supervision time was adjusted to September 2024 to avoid overlapping in the supervision time of the Legal Committee; adding supervision objects (Social Policy Bank; Vocational College; Muong Lay town, Tua Chua district); conducting in-depth supervision on the organizational structure, vocational training and training functions for vocational schools, etc.
Concluding the meeting, Comrade Lo Van Phuong requested the Provincial People's Council Committees and units to prepare reports to receive the opinions of delegates and complete the report content according to regulations. It is necessary to carefully study legal documents and develop an outline that is close to local reality for the supervision of "Implementation of land allocation, forest allocation, issuance of forest land use right certificates; payment for forest environmental services in the period 2019 - 2023 in Dien Bien province" of the Provincial People's Council. The Provincial People's Council Committees need to review the subjects and time of supervision.
