By February 21, all 12 districts, towns and cities in Hai Duong province had completed organizing People's Council meetings, passing resolutions on reorganizing the apparatus of specialized agencies under the district-level People's Committees.
The Chairmen of the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities have issued decisions on personnel work after the reorganization. The leaders at the head and deputy head levels in the new specialized departments after the merger are mainly appointed from the leaders of the old departments.
After streamlining, each district-level People's Committee will reduce 2 departments, and the whole province will reduce 24 specialized departments under the district-level People's Committee.
On February 20, the People's Council of Hai Duong province also completed the organization of a thematic session to pass a resolution on reorganizing the apparatus of specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee and policies to support officials who retire early and quit their jobs when streamlining the apparatus.
The Provincial People's Committee held a conference to announce the resolution of the Provincial People's Council and the decision to appoint leaders of departments by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
The new apparatus organization at the provincial and district levels in Hai Duong will come into operation from March 1.
