On December 1, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the People's Committee of Hau Giang province co-chaired a press conference on the Vietnam - Hau Giang International Rice Festival 2023.
In recent years, Vietnam has achieved many great achievements in rice production, contributing significantly to ensuring national food security and maintaining its position as one of the world's leading rice exporting countries.
In order to promote the development of high-quality rice production, enhance the value chain, take green growth as the foundation, ensure food security and safety, and adapt to climate change in the Mekong Delta, the Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to preside over and coordinate with the People's Committee of Hau Giang province to organize the Vietnam - Hau Giang International Rice Festival 2023.
At the press conference, Mr. Hoang Trung, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, affirmed that this is the right time to organize the Vietnam - Hau Giang International Rice Festival 2023 because this industry has many advantages and good prices.
Therefore, this is a great opportunity to position and promote the image of Vietnamese rice in general and Mekong Delta rice in particular.
Through these activities, the Festival will contribute to promoting Vietnamese rice to domestic and foreign friends, in addition to signing cooperation agreements between businesses, memorandums of understanding between countries and rice businesses, etc.
On the local side, a representative of the People's Committee of Hau Giang province said that the Vietnam - Hau Giang International Rice Festival 2023 is organized in conjunction with the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Hau Giang province.
The organizers expect to have about 700 booths introducing and displaying OCOP products, delicious rice dishes, introducing machines and flying equipment serving rice production, etc.
The Vietnam - Hau Giang International Rice Festival 2023 will take place for 4 days, from December 11 to 14 in Vi Thanh City, Hau Giang Province with many activities, seminars, conferences, exhibitions...
