Mr Putin, who is expected to serve a fifth term as president, noted that Russia would face many challenges but that its people would be ready for them if they were united. The leader said that no one had ever succeeded in intimidating and oppressing Russia. "They have not succeeded, are not succeeding and will not succeed. Never," Mr Putin told supporters.

President Putin also thanked the Russian people for their trust in him, pledging to do his utmost to solve the country's tasks and achieve the goals that everyone prioritizes.
