Can Tho City's domestic revenue in the first 6 months of 2025 reached 55.9% of the estimate.

(CT) - According to the Tax Department of Can Tho City, the total estimated state budget revenue in 2025 assigned to the city's Tax Department is 23,937 billion VND. Accumulated to the end of June 2025, the state budget revenue realized was 13,379 billion VND, reaching 55.9% of the estimate, up 12.8% over the same period in 2024.

The Tax Department continues to implement the policy of reducing value added tax, contributing to stimulating consumer demand.

In terms of localities, in the first 6 months of 2025, the domestic revenue of Soc Trang province (old) and Can Tho city (old) has reached and exceeded 55% of the assigned annual estimate. The remaining area of Hau Giang province (old) has reached 48.7% of the estimate. In terms of revenue sources and taxes, most revenue sources in the area have achieved quite well compared to the estimated progress, in which all revenue sources have increased compared to the same period in 2024. The results of state budget collection in the first 6 months of 2025 have achieved quite well compared to the progress and the same period in 2024 due to the sudden increase in revenue collection in some revenue sources and taxes such as land rent, land protection and development fees for rice cultivation, late payment fines, etc.

The Tax Department of Can Tho City will continue to synchronously and effectively deploy revenue management solutions, promote the application of digital transformation in state budget collection, and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state budget collection management. Thereby, ensuring correct, sufficient and timely collection, striving to increase state budget revenue by over 15% in 2025 according to the direction of the Prime Minister.
