Gratitude, presenting 1,690 gifts to veterans of Dien Bien Phu Campaign

Speaking at the meeting, Major General Le Nhu Duc - Chairman of the Hanoi Veterans Association, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the City Veterans Association and nearly 280,000 members, respectfully sent to the veterans who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign warm greetings, deep affection and deep gratitude.

The Party Committee, the government, the Veterans Association at all levels and the people of the capital always respectfully acknowledge and express gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of the veterans during their participation in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign as well as in the struggles for national liberation, national construction and the construction of the capital.

Representing the war veterans who participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, war veteran Nguyen Thu - former Platoon Leader of Platoon 269, Battalion 54, Regiment 102, Division 308, expressed his emotion at the affection and attention that the Party Committees, authorities and people have given to the war veterans in general and the war veterans who participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign in particular.

Veteran Nguyen Thu affirmed that veterans will continue to promote the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new period, be shining examples, and living witnesses to educate the younger generation about tradition.

On this occasion, the Hanoi Veterans Association presented 90 gifts, each worth 1.3 million VND, to 90 outstanding veterans; presented 1,600 gifts to the Veterans Associations of districts, towns, and cities, each worth 500,000 VND, to 1,600 veterans who participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign and are living in the city.
