According to a VNA correspondent in Moscow, on April 30, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the Uzbekistan-Vietnam Friendship Association opened a documentary photo exhibition "The lasting friendship between Uzbekistan and Vietnam" at the Photography House in the capital Tashkent (Uzbekistan) with the support of the Committee for Inter-Ethnic Relations and Compatriots Abroad, as well as the Uzarchive Archives, the Academy of Arts and the Tashkent Photography House.

At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Vice Chairman of the Committee Olim Narzullaev, Chairman of the Uzbekistan-Vietnam Friendship Association Alisher Mukhamedov and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Tashkent delivered welcoming speeches, emphasizing the importance of the exhibition in further strengthening the traditional friendship with Vietnam and further developing relations in the fields of education, culture, tourism and economy .

Chairman of the Uzbekistan-Vietnam Friendship Association, Mr. A. Mukhamedov, introduced to viewers valuable historical documentary photos of President Ho Chi Minh 's visit to Uzbekistan in 1959.

These are the most valuable photos of the exhibition because they are being widely published for the first time. Mr. A. Mukhamedov emphasized that the friendly relationship between the two countries, which was founded by predecessors, has been nurtured through many generations, developed and brought benefits to the people of both countries.

The exhibition displays documentary photos of visits by Vietnamese delegations, the participation of representatives of the two countries at the International Film Festivals of Asian, African and Latin American countries, and cooperation activities between the two countries in the field of university training.

The exhibition attracted the attention of people, scientists , university students in the capital and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Tashkent.

Uzbekistan and Vietnam are two countries with a long history of relations and are two brotherly peoples.

More than 3,500 Vietnamese students have studied at Uzbekistan's educational institutions and played an important role in strengthening the friendship between the two peoples./.
