Assistant coach Nova Arianto was not satisfied with the way the Indonesian players played.
This time, coach Shin Tae-yong called up 24 names to the national team, these are all the best players that Indonesian football currently possesses.

But in a recent interview with the media, assistant coach of the Indonesian national team, Mr. Nova Arianto, made surprising revelations about the players of the archipelago country.

"Players have to be ready to give their all for their team. They need to run a lot.
Looking at Indonesian players playing, it feels like they are looking for comfort when playing club football. If they want to run, they run. If they feel tired, they just walk.
That way of playing prevents players from reaching their full potential. The coaching staff thinks they have to be willing to challenge themselves to improve their abilities, they have to find their limits instead of just playing like that," said Mr. Arianto.
Assistant Arianto believes that the players who just joined U23 Indonesia to compete in U23 Southeast Asia 2023 have learned a lot about spirit and will in competition.
But this strategist also expressed concern: "What I worry about is that when they return to the club, they will forget their determination. I hope they always try hard and maintain a positive attitude."
