China is expected to become the world's largest economy by 2035, after upgrading most of its sectors to global standards.

The information was released on August 5 in a report by experts from Renmin University of China, the Russian Free Economic Association, the Geopolitical Economics Research Group at Canada's University of Manitoba, and the India-China Economic and Cultural Council.

The report states: "By 2035, China will become the world's largest economy, with scientific and technological strength in most fields reaching global stature."

According to the report, new institutions will be established to create a more open economy, facilitating the country's deep integration into the world economy and further enhancing the "Asian giant's" international competitiveness and influence.

"By 2029, China's cultural and tourism industries will continue to develop. By then, the world's second-largest economy will have unilateral visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 100 countries. By 2035, (this number will reach) more than 120 countries," the document said.

According to the document, by the middle of the next decade, Beijing is also expected to carry out 200-300 spacecraft launches annually, which will contribute to global cooperation in establishing infrastructure on the Moon and further promote the long-term security and progress of human civilization.

Notably, China is expected to put a man on the Moon by 2029.

By 2035, the country will build 10 support bases abroad, which will further boost the number of people participating in UN peacekeeping missions.
