Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh, Commander of Military Region 4, inspected and directed the overcoming of flood consequences in Western Nghe An.

On July 23, Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh - Commander of Military Region 4 and a working delegation from Military Region 4 Command went directly to Con Cuong commune, Nghe An province to inspect and direct the response and recovery work caused by storm No. 3.

Due to the impact of storm No. 3, in recent days, in the communes of Western Nghe An such as Muong Xen, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Nhon Mai... flood water rose rapidly, inundating many houses, causing great damage to property and traffic and irrigation works...

In Con Cuong commune, there was heavy to very heavy rain, Ban Ve hydropower plant released flood water, combined with water from streams and creeks, causing many houses to be flooded and many areas to be cut off. National Highway 7 at km H1 89 through Con Cuong commune was deeply flooded, traffic was paralyzed, and authorities had to erect barricades and road closure signs.

At the scene, Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh requested the Nghe An Provincial Military Command and Division 324 to closely coordinate with local Party committees, authorities and functional forces, organize forces and means to promptly evacuate people from dangerous areas; strictly maintain combat readiness, ready forces and means to move to key areas when ordered; organize patrols, inspections and vigilance in areas at risk of landslides and flash floods to promptly respond...

It is forecasted that in the coming days, the rain and floods will continue to develop complicatedly, with the risk of deep flooding continuing to occur in many areas. The Commander of Military Region 4 requested that the armed forces units stationed in the area continue to promote their core role, closely coordinate with other forces, and not be passive or surprised in any situation, contributing to ensuring the safety of people's lives and property.
