On the morning of November 3, at Cam Xuyen High School, the Traffic Safety Committee of Cam Xuyen district held a memorial service for victims of traffic accidents in 2023 and promoted traffic safety laws in response to Vietnam Law Day on November 9. |
More than 1,200 teachers and students of Cam Xuyen High School attended the ceremony.
Traffic accidents are becoming increasingly complex and are a pressing issue for the whole society. In Vietnam, on average, traffic accidents kill more than 20 people every day and leave nearly 40 people with lifelong disabilities.
In Ha Tinh, in the first 10 months of 2023, there were 194 traffic accidents, killing 127 people and injuring 104 people.

In Cam Xuyen district, in recent years, the locality has coordinated with relevant departments, branches and units to continuously implement propaganda and education measures to raise people's awareness when participating in traffic. The district also focuses on models and solutions that have a wide spread in the community such as: the radio program "New day with traffic safety", the festival "Youth with traffic culture", the model "Traffic safety school gate", hidden cameras, mock trials...
At the memorial service for victims of traffic accidents in 2023, the Traffic Safety Committee of Cam Xuyen district requested that all levels of the Youth Union continue to deploy diverse and creative forms of propaganda; replicate and spread effective models and solutions; promote the role of each cadre and member in participating in propaganda, ensuring traffic safety and order; step up propaganda and education to raise traffic awareness of young people and people.
The Traffic Safety Committee of Cam Xuyen district organized a flower-laying and candle-lighting ceremony to commemorate the victims who died in traffic accidents in 2023.
At the ceremony, the Traffic Safety Committee of Cam Xuyen district also presented 10 gifts to students and relatives of families with victims who died in traffic accidents.
The 2023 Commemoration Ceremony for Traffic Accident Victims in Cam Xuyen District aims to commemorate the unfortunate victims and join hands to ease the pain of the victims' relatives. This is also an opportunity to remind everyone of the importance of complying with traffic laws; thereby gradually innovating and diversifying the content and forms of traffic safety propaganda for people; calling for help and support from the community to share the losses and difficulties with traffic accident victims. |
