Propagating border and island sovereignty to teachers and students in border areas

On the morning of August 30, Vinh Hoi Dong Border Guard Station (An Giang Provincial Border Guard) coordinated with Vinh Hoi Dong Commune Youth Union and Vinh Hoi Dong Secondary School Youth Union (An Phu District, An Giang Province) to organize propaganda on border and island sovereignty for nearly 100 teachers and students of Vinh Hoi Dong Secondary School.

At the conference, officers of Vinh Hoi Dong Border Guard Station informed about basic contents about sovereignty over islands and borders, sophisticated tricks of hostile forces plotting to spread propaganda about sovereignty over islands and borders on cyberspace, ways for students to participate in the fight, and be vigilant to avoid being exploited...

In addition, propagandists of Vinh Hoi Dong Border Guard Station disseminated the basic contents and scope of regulations in the Vietnam Border Guard Law approved by the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (14th tenure) at the 10th Session on November 11, 2020.

The Law takes effect from January 1, 2022 and replaces the Border Guard Ordinance No. 02/1997/PL-UBTVQH9. The Border Guard Law consists of 6 chapters and 36 articles, fully, comprehensively and specifically stipulating policies, principles, tasks, activities, forces, guarantees and responsibilities of agencies, organizations and individuals regarding border protection.

Thereby helping teachers and students have a more general view of sea and island sovereignty and borders, and realize the role of the young generation in joining hands to preserve and protect the sacred sea and island sovereignty and borders of the Fatherland.

In addition, teachers and students will grasp basic knowledge about Vietnam's sovereignty over seas, islands and borders, contributing to further raising awareness, increasing love and determining their roles and responsibilities in building and protecting the sacred sovereignty over borders and islands of the Fatherland.
