U19 Vietnam in the same group with U19 Australia

According to the draw results of the 2024 Southeast Asian U19 tournament, U19 Vietnam will be in Group B with U19 Laos, U19 Myanmar and U19 Australia. Meanwhile, Group A includes host U19 Indonesia, U19 Cambodia, U19 Timor Leste, U19 Philippines and Group C brings together U19 Thailand, U19 Malaysia, U19 Singapore, U19 Brunei.

The 2024 Southeast Asian U19 Championship is scheduled to take place in Surabaya, Indonesia from July 17 to July 29. The top three teams in each group and the best runner-up will advance to the semi-finals. The two semi-final winners will advance to the final to compete for the championship. The two semi-final losers will meet in the third-place match.

Currently, U19 Vietnam is training at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center under the guidance of Coach Hua Hien Vinh. Before participating in the 2024 Southeast Asian U19 Championship, U19 Vietnam will leave for China on June 2.

At the friendly tournament taking place from June 4 to June 10, U19 Vietnam will "test the waters" with U19 Korea, U19 Uzbekistan and host U19 China.
