Vietnam U20 women beat Singapore 5-0, leading Group B of the 2026 Asian U20 Women's Qualifiers

(NLDO) - Vietnam's U20 women's team easily defeated Singapore with a score of 5-0, winning the top spot in Group B of the 2026 AFC U20 Women's Championship qualifiers.

Starting in Group B of the 2026 AFC U20 Women's Qualifiers, the Vietnam U20 Women's Team played at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center and received enthusiastic cheers from the stands on the afternoon of August 6. The support from the audience helped coach Akira Ijiri's students enter the match with excitement and create an overwhelming game.

In the 15th minute, Thuc Nghi took advantage of a foul by the Singapore defense to make a tricky shot in the penalty area, opening the score for the Vietnam U20 women's team.

In the second half, the home team continued to maintain the pressure. Just a few minutes after the match resumed, Y Za Luong overcame the opposing defender and shot diagonally to increase the score to 2-0. Two minutes later, Luu Hoang Van broke through fiercely before assisting Thao Nguyen to shoot into an empty net, increasing the gap to 3-0.

Leading the opponent, U20 Vietnam women's team completely dominated the game but failed to take full advantage of the opportunities. It was not until the end of the match that Nguyen Thi Thuong and Ca Thi Phuong scored, sealing a 5-0 victory for the home team.
