Wu Yanni (right) was stripped of her silver medal in the women's 100m hurdles.

However, this competition ended in controversy and dissatisfaction among athletes because of the organizers' decision.

Specifically, without the referee's signal, Wu Yanni started and this startled Indian athlete Jyothi Yarraji who ran after him.

Immediately afterwards, both were declared to have violated the rules and were disqualified. However, the host country of ASIAD 19 successfully appealed and the two athletes returned to the track.

In this competition, Wu Yanni showed his class by always maintaining one of the two leading positions.

In the end, she finished second with a time of 12.77 seconds, while teammate Lin Yuwei won the championship with a time of 12.74 seconds.

After the competition ended, the Chinese runner was very excited to win the silver medal.

But before she could finish her fun, she received a shock from the organizers' decision.

Specifically, the referees announced that Wu Yanni's match results were not recognized and the achievement was canceled.

But it is worth mentioning that afterwards, the organizers pushed Indian athlete Jyothi Yarraji to receive the silver medal.

The fact that both athletes broke the rules but one was counted and the other was disqualified made the host team China angry.

However, the Organizing Committee still decided to maintain its position and awarded the silver medal to Jyothi Yarraji and Wu Yanni's competition results were canceled.
