The stock market performed relatively well last week. Despite the skepticism of the majority of investors, the main index continued to rise throughout the week, increasing in all 5/5 sessions and successively conquering strong resistance levels.
VN-Index closed the week at 1,372.73 points, recording an increase of 37.84 points during the week, equivalent to 2.83%. HNX-Index increased by 4.33% to 371.92 points.
Although profit-taking pressure has caused many stocks to adjust downward, last week also witnessed continuous ceiling price increases in KSF stock, a "newbie" on the HNX that was just listed on October 6.
Launched with a reference price of VND36,000/share, in the first trading session, KSF hit the ceiling with an increase of up to 30%. In the following two sessions, October 7 and October 8, KSF shares continued to hit the ceiling. The closing price on October 8 was VND56,500/share, an increase of nearly 57%.
However, KSF's liquidity is relatively modest, with an average trading volume of 31,600 shares/session, with less than 4,000 shares matched in some sessions, such as on October 7.
KSF is the stock code of KSFinance Group Joint Stock Company - a company chaired by Mr. Do Anh Tuan. This company was established in 2015, with a current charter capital of 3,000 billion VND, mainly operating in the field of real estate investment and development; distribution, sales and leasing of investment real estate.
In addition, KSFinance also expands its field of operation to the finance - technology sector with a core strategy of developing commercial real estate and office projects.
According to KSFinance's announcement, in 2020, the company achieved more than VND 1,065 billion in consolidated revenue and VND 222.5 billion in after-tax profit. The target that KSFinance set for 2021 is VND 2,060 billion in revenue, an increase of 42% and after-tax profit of VND 385 billion, 6 times higher than last year.
At the end of the first half of 2021, KSFinance achieved 689 billion VND in consolidated revenue, an increase of 5.8 times over the same period, and 225 billion VND in profit after tax, exceeding the profit of the whole year 2020.
Currently, in the shareholder structure of KSF, Mr. Do Anh Tuan is the only major shareholder with 54.24% of charter capital (equivalent to 162.72 million KSF shares). With the listing of KSF, the value of Mr. Do Anh Tuan's securities assets has skyrocketed.
Specifically, just counting the asset value through holding KSF shares, Mr. Tuan has nearly 9,194 billion VND at the present time. In addition, the tycoon from Thanh Hoa also owns 12.4 million KLB shares, 8.5 million SCG shares and 162.5 million SSH shares. Mr. Tuan's total asset value is currently 25,905 billion VND, becoming a new "USD billionaire" on the Vietnamese stock market.
