Through the first 4 episodes, Vietnam Idol - Vietnam Music Idol 2023 did not disappoint the audience when it gathered all the elements that make up the success of a reality TV show about finding singing talents that already has a brand and is loved.

In episode 4, judge My Tam admitted that she “couldn’t control herself” when witnessing contestant Thanh Dat’s performance with the song “Nuot de nam”. Immediately after that, in contestant Thanh Hien’s performance, she made a request to “stop singing and say yes” even though the performance had not ended. Humorous, cheerful, youthful, charming, professional… are the compliments that the audience gave to the trio of judges this year. The number of millions of views on YouTube or other social networking platforms such as Facebook, TikTok… proves that the return of season 8 of the competition is winning the hearts of the audience.
Most producers of game shows, reality TV shows or experts in the music industry admit that, with singing competitions, the quality of contestants must be the first factor. After a period of booming competitions that made finding contestants like “looking for a needle in a haystack” because the same faces appeared from one program to another, Vietnam Idol chose the right “drop point”. If not counting the two rap competitions (Rap Viet and King of rap), Vietnam Idol is a rare return of the popular music competition playground with a scale of recruiting students abroad. The number of 5,000 registration files shows the level of attraction of the program.
In terms of organization, this competition also received many compliments for creating a true musical space for young talents to have the opportunity to express themselves, to perform comfortably rather than under pressure to compete. In addition to the two names mentioned above, some impressive faces through previous broadcasts include: PiaLinh, Thanh Thao, Pham Xuan Dinh, Thanh Giang, Ha An Huy, Quang Trung... The first broadcasts were recorded and re-broadcasted, avoiding the trap of being too dramatic or creating scandals to gain attention.
The impressive start of Vietnam Idol 2023 has somewhat made the audience breathe a sigh of relief. However, whether the program will fall into a state of "elephant head, mouse tail" or not, the answer is still ahead. The judges themselves in the selection round have worried many times: Many contestants with excellent performances will do what to change and transform themselves in the next stage? Maintaining and improving the form and quality of contestants; the grace and expertise of the judges; not abusing scandals are what the audience expects in the next stage of Vietnam Idol.
