VNGGames strategic cooperation with Webzen and Kingnet to release new game in Vietnam

The strategic cooperation between the three parties aims to bring high-quality, optimized games to the Vietnamese market, starting with the official release of the mobile version of MU Online game called MU Luc Luc VNG in April 2025.

MU Luc Dia VNG is the official mobile version of MU Online , developed by Kingnet with modern technology but still retains the original spirit of the legendary game. Previously, when launched with the name MU Monarch in Korea and Southeast Asia, this game achieved impressive success, rising to the position of Top 1 most popular game in Korea - the cradle of MU Online , affirming the enduring appeal of the MU brand.

Mr. Zhao Fan, CEO of Kingnet - the developer of MU Mainland - emphasized: "Vietnam is a potential market for the MU game series and we believe that the combination of the three parties will bring a new experience to players. Webzen owns the original copyright with top quality, Kingnet has strengths in research and development with experience in operating MU products in multiple markets, and VNGGames is a leading publisher with localization capabilities and access to a large domestic gaming community. With MU Mainland , we expect this to be the beginning of many strategic cooperation projects in the future."

Regarding the release plan, VNGGames will implement promotional activities in stages. During the public testing period, VNGGames will organize a series of welcome events and incentive programs to attract and build the gaming community. In the long term, the game will be continuously updated with content, optimize the experience, and expand the event system with large-scale tournaments to maintain the appeal and develop the gaming community, through online platforms and real-life interactive activities.

According to a report by Mordor Intelligence, the global MMORPG market is estimated to reach $28.06 billion in 2025 and is expected to grow to $46.76 billion by 2030, at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.75%. Of which, the Asia- Pacific region is forecast to have a remarkable growth rate thanks to the rapid increase of 5G technology.
