Vietnamese boxer knocks out Korean opponent after 1 minute

Provoked by his Korean opponent sticking out his tongue, athlete Kieu Duy Quan made his opponent taste a knockout after 1 minute in the ring at a kickboxing event in Ho Tram on the evening of July 19.

The highlight match of the martial arts event co-organized by Cocky Buffalo and the Vietnam Kickboxing Federation is the match between Kieu Duy Quan and Han Jun, 75kg weight class.

Before the bell started, Han Jun stuck out his tongue to provoke Duy Quan. Then the Korean fighter launched two heavy sweeping blows, but Duy Quan still stood firm.

The Vietnamese fighter then unleashed a barrage of extremely fast and powerful punches, forcing Han Jun to focus on defense. But he was still hit by a heavy left hook to the ribs from Duy Quan. Han Jun lay on the floor with a face full of pain. The doctor had to intervene as soon as he was allowed.

Han Jun was then unable to continue the fight so Kieu Duy Quan was awarded a knockout victory. The quick victory after 1 minute in the first round helped the Vietnamese boxer continue to affirm his name.

Kieu Duy Quan raised his total number of consecutive wins to 5.

In the only women's match in the 51kg category, SEA Games silver medalist and national champion Nguyen Thi Chieu won on points against Jung A Young (Korea).

The remaining representative of Vietnam, Bui Duy Chi Thanh (70kg weight class) lost to Yue Shuai after 3 rounds.

In the remaining matches, experienced Thai boxer Kongphathum used a heavy right high kick to send Mehdi Ayadi (France) to the floor just over 20 seconds into the second round.

Xie Bo (China) with powerful punches knocked out Wakuto Furuichi (Japan) when the first round had only passed by half.

In the remaining two matches, Zhu Bao Lei (China) won by points over Jung Ki Han (Korea) and Boulahri Hicham (Morocco) won by points over Supachai (Thailand).

This Kickboxing & Muay Thai event gives Vietnamese boxers a good opportunity to compete and compete with foreign opponents, thereby accumulating experience and improving their professional skills.
