Y Ty commune established 25 disaster prevention teams

Since the beginning of July, floods and landslides have frequently occurred in Y Ty commune, affecting people's lives.

Immediately after merging Y Ty and A Lu communes into the new Y Ty commune, the Y Ty commune government established the Command Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue; at the same time, built a plan for natural disaster prevention and search and rescue in 2025.

Along with that, Y Ty commune established a Disaster Prevention and Control Team with 25 teams, including 216 people. The core is the militia, self-defense, grassroots security forces, organizations and commune officials, to respond as quickly as possible when natural disasters occur.

In recent days, Y Ty commune has inspected dozens of landslide-prone areas in villages in the commune, and posted warning signs for natural disaster prevention at landslide-prone areas and streams that often flood during heavy rains.

The forces are on duty 24/7, monitoring the flood situation; regularly patrolling and checking areas at risk of landslides, flash floods, and flash floods; directly propagating on loudspeakers and zalo groups so that people can proactively prevent natural disasters, ensuring the safety of people and property during the flood season.

In particular, from September 2024 to present, Y Ty commune has relocated more than 60 households whose houses collapsed, were affected by natural disasters, and households in dangerous disaster areas to new safe places.

Y Ty commune completed a temporary bridge across Sim San stream for people to travel safely.

Recently, Y Ty commune used 160 million VND from the flood and storm prevention fund and mobilized local people to contribute 30 million VND to build a temporary bridge across Sim San stream, helping more than 300 households in 3 villages Sim San 1, Sim San 2, Hong Ngai to travel safely after the old bridge was swept away by flood on May 23, 2025. In the long term, Y Ty commune proposed that the province pay attention to building a solid bridge across Sim San stream, serving the travel needs and ensuring safety for the people.
